Community Health Resilience Stakeholders Meeting

Sep 05, 2013 | Frances Bevington

Date: August 1, 2013
Staff Representative: Scott Fisher
Member Representative: N/A

Highlights: The Department of Homeland Security Office of Health Affairs (DHS/OHA) convened a meeting of federal, national, state, and local public health and preparedness representatives to review an initial draft of a community heath resilience guide and toolkit that DHS/OHA is developing. Meeting attendees reached the consensus that the draft guide was not actually a planning guide, but more of a framing document on the issue of community health resilience. DHS/OHA will revise the guide and reconvene the group within the next couple of months to review the next iteration.
