The U.S. Department of Homeland Security released a new National Terrorism Advisory System (NTSA) bulletin on December 16, 2016. NTSA bulletins describe current developments or general trends regarding threats of terrorism. The bulletin focuses on the concern in the rise of the use of the internet by terror groups, which may produce “self-radicalized” actors who could strike with little or no notice.
