CDC has launched a pneumococcal vaccination app, PneumoRecs VaxAdvisor, for iOS and Android mobile devices. Take the confusion and stress out of interpreting pneumococcal vaccine recommendations. Use this app to quickly and easily determine which pneumococcal vaccines a patient needs and when. Simply enter a patient’s age and note if the patient has specific underlying medical conditions. After answering questions about the patient’s pneumococcal vaccination history, you’ll receive patient-specific guidance consistent with ACIP’s recommended immunization schedule. The app incorporates recommendations for all ages, so internists, family physicians, pediatricians, and pharmacists will all find the tool beneficial.
