The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of State and Local Readiness, will host a Hurricane and Flooding Key Messages Virtual Workshop from 10:00 to 11:30 am EDT on Thursday, September 3. The workshop will provide hands-on training to participants on how to use the Preparedness and Safety Messaging for Hurricanes, Flooding, and Similar Disasters reference document to develop content for various communication products and channels, special considerations for the COVID-19 pandemic are included. Registration by 5:00 pm September 2 is required to attend this virtual workshop. CDC encourages Public Health Emergency Preparedness recipients to identify public information officers, communication staff and other professionals in their preparedness and response programs who may benefit from participating in the workshop.
