In lieu of an April call, members of the Incident Management Workgroup attended and participated in the NACCHO webinar, “Response and Recovery During and Environmental Disaster: Learning from the Elk River Chemical Spill” on April 22. Workgroup members also conducted a learning session entitled “Managing an Escalating Public Health Incident: A Tabletop Exercise” on April 2 at the 2014 Preparedness Summit. The policy statement developed by the workgroup, “Local Workforce Development and Training in Emergency Preparedness,” is due to go before the NACCHO board for approval in May.
