The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health, the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) and the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD), launched the Know the Facts First campaign to provide teen girls with accurate information about STDs and prevention methods so that they can make informed decisions about sexual activity. The campaign website, KnowTheFactsFirst.gov, is a hub for STD information, resources, tools, and support for teens. It also contains information on where to get tested and is accessible from a smartphone, tablet, and desktop. The Know the Facts First campaign will also include print and video public service announcements in malls, magazines, schools, movie theaters, on television, and online. Learn more
