Engage healthcare professionals in critical public health campaigns with interactive education. This evidence-based strategy helps mitigate healthcare provider knowledge gaps and improve patient outcomes. Jayda Germain, MS, Assistant Program Coordinator and Daniel McMahon, MPH, Program Director, at Alosa Health will discuss how Alosa works with local and state governments and other agencies to design and manage educational programs tailored to fit their unique needs. A representative from the state of New Hampshire’s Department of Health and Human Services will join in a discussion about how academic detailing has been utilized throughout the state to educate healthcare providers and staff about topics ranging from opioid use disorder (OUD) to sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Learning Objectives:

• Describe what academic detailing is and how it can be applied in a public health setting

• Apply effective strategies for maximizing educational impact

• Share successful experiences from peer public health agencies and departments
