The Office of Medical Reserve Corps (OMRC) and the American Red Cross have finalized an updated Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This renewed MOA demonstrates a continued commitment to a formal partnership between the two organizations and encourages collaboration – both nationally and locally – aimed at enhancing the ability of communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and public health emergencies.
The MOA serves to define a working relationship and set forth principles under which the national offices of the American Red Cross and MRC will work to promote and enhance cooperation between the two organizations. The agreement describes potential areas of collaboration (e.g., preparedness and response activities) and aims to provide a broad framework for partnership implementation at the regional and local levels.
The MOA includes a Local Partnership Agreement Template and a Partner Affiliate Matrix for Medical & Behavioral Health Volunteers.
The renewed Memorandum of Agreement Between OMRC and Red Cross will be posted to the OMRC website shortly on the Unit Leader Resources page.
