NACCHO Accepting Applications for 2022 Medical Reserve Corps Operational Readiness Awards

Nov 01, 2021 | Beth Hess

Applications are open through December 15, 2021 (5:00 PM PT) for 2022 Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Operational Readiness Awards. The aim of this funding is to build the operational readiness capabilities of MRC units to meet the emergency preparedness and response needs of local, regional, and statewide stakeholders. The awards are intended to be flexible to meet the needs of all MRC units, support efforts to build and strengthen MRC capabilities, raise stakeholder awareness of MRC capabilities, and identify or sustain integration of the MRC unit into local, state, and/or regional emergency response plans.

Eligible MRC units can apply for either a $5,000 or $10,000 award through the competitive selection process. The complete list of administrative and application criteria can be downloaded here.

Additionally, NACCHO staff will be holding office hours on Tuesday, December 7 at 3:00 PM ET and on Thursday, December 9 at 11:00 AM ET. Applicants are welcome to join the Zoom call or email mrc@naccho.org with their contact information to join the queue to receive a phone call back from NACCHO staff.

In addition, NACCHO hosted a webinar to review the 2022 MRC Operational Readiness Award RFA Overview and Application Process. The webinar recording and slides provide an overview of the MRC ORA RFA and NACCHO’s Awards website along with links to important application documents.
