NACCHO COVID-19 Webinar: Understanding Diverse Communities to Support Equitable and Informed COVID-19 Vaccination Decision-Making

Jan 08, 2021 | Beth Hess

NACCHO invites local health department leadership and staff to join the Understanding Diverse Communities to Support Equitable and Informed COVID-19 Vaccination Decision-Making webinar on Thursday, January 21, 3:00-4:30 pm ET.

National surveys and polls have shown concerning low percentages of adults who intend to get a COVID-19 vaccine once available to them. These findings have fluctuated over time and varied by factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, age, education, and political affiliation. They also underscore the need to further explore individuals’ perspectives and better understand the factors influencing decisions among diverse communities to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

This webinar will feature findings and insights on public views of COVID-19 vaccination from (1) a national panel survey conducted November 25 – December 7; and (2) 25 online community conversations conducted December 2 – 14, including local conversations with African American, Latinx, and Tribal communities and regional conversations with people undecided about vaccination. This webinar will also explore how health departments and tribal governments can support their communities in making decisions about getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

Webinar Objectives:

  • Provide a national snapshot of COVID-19 vaccination intent among the public
  • Share insights on COVID-19 vaccination decision-making from regional and local community conversations
  • Explore how health departments and tribal governments can support their communities in making decisions about getting vaccinated against COVID-19

In order to join the webinar, please register here (only registered participants will be able to join).
