NACCHO Disease Outbreaks and Analytics Project Call for Participation

Jan 23, 2023 | NacchoVoice

With the support of the CDC’s Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics, NACCHO is currently recruiting members for a community of practice focused on infectious disease outbreak and response. This group will work with NACCHO staff to identify disease outbreaks and analytics needs in local health departments and participate in learning opportunities to bolster local health department capacity related to disease outbreaks and analytics.

Members of this group will be expected to participate in regularly scheduled monthly meetings, and learning sessions (i.e., live webinars, asynchronous online trainings) focused on how to use available forecasting and analytical tools and systems, understanding data analytics, and using data in outbreak response decision-making. Meetings and trainings are anticipated to start February 2023 and end in July 2023 with a possibility to reapply.

Members will have the opportunity to be part of a learning network and contribute to ongoing conversations and efforts to improve local health capacity related to disease outbreaks and analytics.

All local health department staff are invited to participate. If you are interested in joining the community of practice, please complete this interest form by February 02/06/2023.

For more information or questions, please email NACCHO at [email protected]

Note: In the event the program receives more applications than anticipated, participants will be selected to ensure diversity of experience, geography, and local health department characteristics.
