In January, NACCHO released the 2013 National Profile of Local Health Departments (Profile Study), a nationwide study investigating relevant topics on local public health infrastructure and practice. This year, NACCHO launched a new website for the Profile Study, www.nacchoprofilestudy.org, which offers materials that local health department professionals can use to illustrate what local public health looks like across the nation. Visit the Profile Study’s website to view interactive materials including charts and graphics for download, state-by-state factsheets, and customizable reports. To gain a deeper understanding of specific topics and how local public health has changed over time, access research briefs and archived publications through 1989.
Stay tuned to the Profile Study website for updated materials, and learn what the Profile Study shows about preparedness activities.
