Although the United States is making bold strides in many areas of health, we have an opportunity to learn from public health practitioners beyond our borders—even those with limited resources—who are making significant progress around common challenges. By seeking ideas and solutions being explored around the world, we can empower U.S. local health departments and accelerate progress toward better health outcomes.
With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, NACCHO’s new Global-to-Local Public Health Information Exchange program explores how successful approaches to health management in other countries can be adapted by local health departments to promote the health and well-being of all people in their communities. NACCHO’s research on these initiatives will be shared on the newly developed Global-to-Local Public Health Exchange webpage.
NACCHO looks forward to highlighting local health departments who have already adopted global health-inspired practices in their communities. If you have an experience to share, please fill out the form on our website and your global learning story could be featured in our upcoming blog series, or as a segment on the NACCHO podcast.
