Local governmental attorneys convened at the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) Annual Conference in San Francisco, California. This year’s conference included sessions focusing on several public health issues, such as, land use law, developments in the public safety wireless spectrum, the FCC’s proceedings on radio-frequency radiation health risks, environmental contamination issues from PCBs and caulk in groundwater, and ‘Big Box’ zoning issues.
The IMLA is a non-profit, professional organization which serves as a clearinghouse of legal information for local governmental attorneys. IMLA provides a platform for discussion on recent litigation trends, the development and implementation of local laws and current legal issues impacting units of local government.
