NACCHO Unveils 2019 Advocacy Toolkit

Jan 29, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

The NACCHO Government Affairs team has updated the Advocacy Toolkit for 2019! The Toolkit was developed help educate members on the many different ways that they can interact with their elected officials to weigh in on emerging public health issues and highlight the importance of local public health. Educating lawmakers on public health issues is vitally important so they are informed when making decisions that can impact your local health department, and there are many different ways for everyone to be active.

NACCHO’s Advocacy Toolkit provides helpful resources and tips on the range of ways to get involved through education, advocacy, or lobbying strategies, how to get in touch and effectively communicate with lawmakers, as well as talking points and fact sheet templates.

NACCHO thanks you for your continued involvement. If you have any questions please email Ian Goldstein, NACCHO Government Affairs Senior Specialist, at [email protected] or 202-507-4273.
