Sep 16, 2020 | Beth Hess

Week three of National Preparedness Month is focused on knowing what kind of disasters you might face and preparing for them to limit their impact. Ready.gov provides a list of disaster and emergency types—from bioterrorism to extreme heat, to hurricanes and wildfires—with resources to address each.

Steps to prepare for any type of disaster include creating your emergency plan, building your disaster supply kit, and signing up for emergency alerts.

Visit Ready.gov for tips and resources to help you prepare for a disaster.
