CDC/ATSDR is excited to announce the new Climate Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) CDC-RFA-EH21-2101 on Building Resilience Against Climate Effects: Implementing and Evaluating Adaptation Strategies that Protect and Promote Human Health.
Broadly, this NOFO supports program strategies to enhance the resilience of U.S. cities and states to the health impacts of climate change. The NOFO will leverage three overarching strategies for implementation by funded recipients, these include:
1) Collaborate with stakeholders to create a Climate Impact Compendium that includes data on local climate projections, health effects, social determinants of health, and current adaptive capacity;
2) Implement and evaluate adaptation actions that address the threats identified in the Compendium; and
3) Use and disseminate evaluation results to improve adaptation actions and enhance understanding of effective climate resilience adaptations in public health and related fields
For interested applicants, a Letter of Intent is due 5/10/2021, with completed application packages due on 6/18/2021.
