New Music Videos for Mosquito Prevention

Jul 03, 2019 | Michelle Shapiro

MC Bugg Z, known for insect-inspired music videos Tick Check 1-2 and Zika 101, released a new video just in time for the start of summer: West Nile Story. The part-time rapper, also known as Andy Lima, works as an insect biologist with the Fairfax County Health Department (VA). His new video is full of important information about mosquito bites and the diseases they carry, how to prevent bites, and who is most at risk for severe cases of West Nile virus.

The San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District (CA) also released a mosquito-focused music video this summer: Don’t Bring Back the Aedes. The video educates students and the public about the threats of Aedes mosquitoes in Los Angeles County.
