On Wednesday, November 13, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released Antibiotic Resistance Threats in the United States, 2019, an update to a 2013 report that details the leading threats from antibiotic resistance in the U.S. The report reveals that drug-resistant gonorrhea remains an “urgent” a threat and another sexually transmitted infection, Mycoplasma genitalium, has been added to the “watch list.”
