Now Available! 2018 Public Health Communication Webinar Series

Jan 24, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

In late spring/early summer of 2018, NACCHO hosted a four-part webinar series to help local health departments build capacity to engage in public health communication. The webinar topics were selected based on a two-part needs assessment that NACCHO conducted to determine local health departments’ communications capacity, capabilities, and skills gaps. The presentation slides from those webinars are now available!

  • Establishing and Managing a Digital Presence (55 mins)
Learn more about what it takes to develop, disseminate, and manage communication in the digital space, from websites to social media and more. Presented by Burness.
  • Evaluating Public Health Communications Campaigns – Part 1 (45 mins)
Learn strategies for evaluating the effectiveness of communications initiatives and campaigns, from selecting the right evaluation measures during campaign development to identifying what to do with your evaluation data. This first session will focus more on qualitative measures and will be presented by Seventh Street Strategies.
  • Evaluating Public Health Communications Campaigns – Part 2 (42 mins)
Learn strategies for evaluating the effectiveness of communications initiatives and campaigns, from selecting the right evaluation measures during campaign development to identifying what to do with your evaluation data. This second session will pick up where the last left off, with brief review and additional discussion. Also presented by Seventh Street Strategies.
  • Tools for Telling Your Public Health Story (55 mins)
Explore the importance of messaging, talk about how to tell stories that show impact, and discuss tactics for raising awareness of your work. Presented by Burness.
