To Our Local Health Department Community,
As we witness the impacts of multiple Hurricanes across the southeast from afar, I want you to know that the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) stands with you as you face recovery from these unimaginable disasters impacting so many communities.
Public health leaders and staff often must juggle the needs of their communities, while also tending to their own families and friends. It is a tough job to begin with and worsened exponentially during times of greatest need. Please take care of yourself while you are caring for your jurisdictions. Our hearts are with you all.
I wanted to ensure that you are aware of the following brief list of resources that NACCHO has compiled and continues to update that may assist in your response and recovery:
In addition, NACCHO stands ready to support you and your teams. We remain committed to being your voice with federal decision makers, working to ensure that their efforts best support the work done by our members on the ground.
Please reach out to us if there is anything at all that we may be able to help you with from NACCHO by emailing [email protected]. We stand ready to do our best to support you. Even if we may not be able to provide direct assistance, we will do everything we can to help facilitate help to your communities.
In deep support of you and the communities you serve,
Lori Freeman
Chief Executive Officer
National Association of County & City Health Officials
