Orange County, NY received 800 doss of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine the morning of Tuesday, January 5. By the end of day Wednesday, January 6, they had administered all 800 doses to frontline healthcare and EMS works.
Commissioner of Health Dr. Irina Gelman commended the “Orange County Department of Health staff, Medical Reserve Corps, the Orange County Department of Emergency Services, frontline healthcare workers, emergency responders, essential workers and our community partners, for their determination, grit and commitment to protecting the public health and well-being of all of our County residents.”
The county partnered with two medical providers, Horizon Family Medical Group and Middletown Medical, to distribute the vaccines.
