PACHA Convenes, Discusses Plan to End the HIV Epidemic

The Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) convened in Washington, DC for the 63rd full council meeting on March 14-15, 2019. During the meeting, ADM Brett Giroir, MD, Assistant Secretary for Health, swore in nine new members and emphasized the importance of PACHA, including in providing input on the new federal initiative, Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America. The council discussed and voted unanimously for a resolution in support of the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative.

PACHA provides advice, information, and recommendations to the White House and Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) regarding programs, policies, and research to promote effective prevention, treatment, and cure of HIV and AIDS.
