The Preparedness Planning, Outcomes, and Measures (PPOM) Workgroup held its monthly call on January 24, 2017. The workgroup received an update on the administrative preparedness demonstration site project. The PPOM Workgroup Chair, Melissa Marquis, provided an overview of the National Health Security Preparedness Index (NHSPI) and the current discussion regarding 2017 data and any new proposed measures. Melissa and NACCHO staff agreed to work together to identify a NHSPI speaker to present on a future call. Workgroup members discussed an update to Version 8.1 of Project Public Health Ready criteria and concluded that parts of the CONOPs section of the criteria could be better integrated into the training and workforce development section. Finally workgroup members were informed there would be a policy statement that requires review and update during the 2017 calendar year. The next call is scheduled for February 28, 2017.
