Preventing the Bite Day and Night in Harris County

The third most populous county in the United States, Harris County (TX) works day and night to protect its 4.7 million residents from vector-borne disease by integrating surveillance, control, education, research, and technology.

Harris County Public Health Mosquito & Vector Control Division wrote an issue brief for NACCHO describing their comprehensive approach to vector-borne disease management, including responsiveness and innovation, partnerships and collaborations, and communication and community engagement.
