During the month of May, NACCHO staff provided technical assistance to reviewers of the PPHR resubmission applications. These resubmissions came from agencies provisionally recognized or not recognized during the fall 2016 review. In addition, NACCHO staff continue to provide technical assistance to all fall 2017 PPHR applicants and continue to work with additional states to implement the PPHR state-supported model.

Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) is a criteria-based training and recognition program that assesses local health department (LHD) capacity and capability to plan for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies.
