With support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NACCHO is pleased to announce a funding opportunity to local health departments (LHDs). Through this funding opportunity, NACCHO will award up to ten (10) high burden counties or cities to implement activities that address their community’s challenges related to drug overdose through an interdisciplinary, comprehensive, and cohesive public health approach.
Project activities may focus on establishing linkages to care; supporting providers and health systems; enhancing surveillance and data sharing capabilities; improving partnerships with public safety and first responders; implementing harm reduction activities; developing communications campaigns; and implementing innovative prevention projects.
