RFA: Queer & Gender Equity Project – Improving Sexual Health for Youth

Nov 19, 2018 | Kim Rodgers

Community-based organizations are invited to submit applications to receive capacity building assistance through Advocates for Youth’s Queer & Gender Equity Project (QGEP). More than 10 years ago, Advocates launched the QGEP, previously known as the Anti-Homophobia and Transphobia Project, and seeks to build the capacity of organizations interested in and committed to improving the sexual health of all young people, including LGBTQ youth of color.

Advocates for Youth is a national organization that partners with youth leaders, adult allies, and youth-serving organizations to advocate for policies and champion programs that recognize young people’s rights to: honest sexual health information; accessible, confidential, and affordable sexual health services; and the resources and opportunities necessary to create sexual health equity for all youth dedicated to creating programs and advocating for policies that help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. Advocates provides information, training, and strategic assistance to youth-serving organizations, policy makers, youth activists, and the media in the United States and the developing world.

View the request for applications to learn more about this opportunity, including eligibility and criteria for selection. The application form and proposal are due by December 14, 2018, 5:00 p.m. EDT.
