RFA: Resilience Catalysts in Public Health Pilot Program

Dec 05, 2024 | Alexandra Halprin

NACCHO’s Health Equity and Social Justice team is accepting applications for the 2025 Resilience Catalysts in Public Health Pilot Program. This initiative, supported by funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), invites local health departments (LHDs) to participate in piloting tools designed to enhance community resilience and support health equity efforts.

NACCHO, in partnership with the Center for Community Resilience, is offering funding to LHDs to pilot one of two tools:

  • Implementation Guide: Supports LHDs in implementing the Resilience Catalysts framework, including conducting root cause analyses, developing focus areas, and creating communication plans.
  • Evaluation Roadmap: Helps LHDs build evaluation capacity through tailored e-learning modules and guidance.

Funding Opportunity:

  • Up to $15,000 per LHD to support participation in this pilot
  • Funding is available for four (4) LHDs

Eligibility:

  • LHDs must commit 2–5 staff and up to 50 hours to pilot testing.
  • Applicants for the Implementation Guide must have a programmatic interest in ACEs, injury/violence prevention, or racial/economic equity.
  • Applicants for the Evaluation Roadmap must be prior Resilience Catalysts participants.

Important Dates:

  • Informational Webinar: Monday, December 16, 1:00–2:00 PM EST
  • Application Deadline: Monday, January 6, 11:59 PM EST
  • Project Period: February–May 2025
