Request for Proposals for Addressing High-Risk Substance Use through STI Clinics: Strengthening Connections to Treatment and Behavioral Health Services
NACCHO is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for a pilot project to address the syndemics of STIs and high-risk substance use (HRSU) and strengthen collaboration between STI clinics and substance use and behavioral health services. With support from CDC’s Division of STD Prevention, NACCHO will fund two to four STI clinics to: (1) assess HRSU among their STI clinic patient population, (2) administer a screening tool for HRSU among STI clinic patients, and (3) implement a brief intervention and referral model to connect patients to substance use disorder treatment and/or behavioral health services. Selected sites will be provided funding and technical assistance to conduct this pilot project.
NACCHO hosted an informational webinar for potential applicants on June 3, 2019. View the webinar recording (fast forward to the 2:00 minute mark) and browse the Q&A from the session to learn more about the project.
