RFP: Course Content Development for the Roots of Health Inequity Online Course Redesign

Dec 16, 2022 | Brianna Aldridge

NACCHO, with support from the CDC, is accepting proposals to contribute to the revision of the Roots of Health Inequity Online Course. Applicants should demonstrate experience developing content and/or curricula around public health history with a health equity and/or social justice lens. Additionally, applicants should possess subject matter expertise that includes an understanding of how public health history relates to root cause systems. Familiarity with intersectionality as a framework is highly recommended. The RFP can be found here.

A brief summary of the public health history unit is below. Please see the RFP for full details and objectives.

Unit III: Public Health History

Summary: This unit will discuss the scope of public health’s roles and responsibilities across history, acknowledging its evolution over time and its connection to social history more broadly.

NACCHO will award $35,000 for the development of Unit III. The estimated project period of performance will be from March 27, 2023-July 31, 2023.

Applications will be accepted from Friday, December 16, 2022 to Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Questions about the RFP and application process can be directed to Brianna Aldridge at [email protected] or Jasmine Akuffo at [email protected].
