NACCHO, in partnership with the CDC’s Project Firstline, is dedicated to strengthening infection prevention and control (IPC) practices across U.S. healthcare settings. As part of this initiative, NACCHO provides critical training, resources, and capacity-building support to equip public health professionals and frontline healthcare workers with the knowledge and tools they need to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. NACCHO’s focus is on empowering local health departments (LHDs) to deliver effective IPC education to healthcare facility partners in their communities.
To advance this mission, NACCHO is seeking a skilled facilitator to lead two one-day, in-person workshops. These sessions will bring together LHD representatives to build on the content from two newly developed, self-paced online NACCHO Project Firstline courses designed for LHD staff who train healthcare facilities on IPC.
Workshop Details:
📍 April 28, 2025 – San Antonio, TX (Pre-Preparedness Summit)
📍 July 14, 2025 – Anaheim, CA (Pre-NACCHO360 Annual Conference)
The selected facilitator will play a vital role in enhancing these courses by leading engaging training sessions, developing structured learning materials, and designing interactive scenarios. Additionally, the facilitator will develop supplementary resources to accompany the courses after the workshops.
This is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the advancement of infection prevention and control education at the local level. If you are passionate about public health training and have expertise in IPC, we encourage you to apply!
