The Risk Communication and Information Sharing Workgroup held its December call on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 1 PM Eastern Time. Seven workgroup members participated in the call. The group discussed NACCHO’s Model Practice award and the requirements of workgroup members who volunteer to review award applicants.
The group also spent some time discussing the various challenges that their local health departments have faced regarding Ebola. Specifically, members were looking for information about travel recommendations for international students during the holidays.
Workgroup members also discussed workplan deliverables including possible stories from the field and the development of risk communication toolkit.
The next workgroup call will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 1 PM Eastern Time.
