On January 23, 2018, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notified the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about a cluster of 13 cases of Salmonella Typhimurium found in 8 states. After careful investigation by the FDA, these cases have been linked with consumption of dried coconut. The FDA confirmed the outbreak of Salmonella matches two dried coconut products, Go Smiles Dried Coconut Raw and Organic Go Smile! Dried Coconut Raw.
These products have been recalled and should be either thrown away or returned to the retailer. They should not be eaten.
