SAMHSA Funding Opportunity: Community Prevention Navigator

Nov 13, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is now accepting applications for the Substance Abuse and HIV Prevention Navigator Program for Racial/Ethnic Minorities Ages 13-24. Funded entities under the program will provide training and education around the risks of substance misuse, provide education on HIV/AIDS, and provide needed linkages to service provision for individuals with HIV. The five-year grant is accepting applications from now until December 27, 2019.

Eligible applicants are community-based domestic public and private nonprofit entities, federally recognized American Indian/Alaska Native Tribes (AI/AN) and tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations. For example, non-profit community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, colleges and universities, health care delivery organizations, territories, and local governments are eligible to apply.
