Supply Shortages Impacting COVID-19 and Non-COVID Testing

The American Society for Microbiology is collecting data from clinical labs using the Clinical Microbiology Supply Shortage Collection (CMSSC) tool. The tool reports on shortages of supplies for COVID-19 and non-COVID testing.

Among other data, 35.1% of participating labs reported a shortage of supplies for the molecular detection of sexually transmitted infections for the week of January 8-15, 2021.
