Take Action for Children’s Environmental Health Day

Aug 26, 2019 | Michelle Shapiro

The Children’s Environmental Health Network (CEHN) established Children’s Environmental Health Day (CEH Day) in 2016 as a way to raise awareness about how environmental exposures impact children’s health. It is also a day of action that can be used to mobilize individuals, families, organizations, and communities to champion, on behalf of all children, the right to clean air and water, safer food and products, and healthy places in which to live, learn, and play.

Children’s Environmental Health Day 2019 takes place on Thursday, October 10.

Get Involved:

  1. Promote Children’s Environmental Health in your community.
  2. Work with your mayor’s office to get a proclamation that Oct. 10, 2019 is Children’s Environmental Health Day, and set up some media around it as a way to raise awareness in your community.
  3. Host a community event held on or near Oct. 10 on children’s lead exposures or children and emergency preparedness, etc.

Find guidance on conducting all of these activities in the 2019 Promotional Toolkit.

Please share all activities and events with Children’s Environmental Health Network.
