This Public Health Thank-You Day, NACCHO thanks all its members and the entire public health workforce for their commitment to promote health, prevent disease, and ensure that all communities have access to care.
We thank local health officials and local health department staff for all of your work supporting the health and equity of your communities this year. We especially want to thank our members that have volunteered their time, energy, and expertise to help fulfill NACCHO’s mission in many different ways: through responses to requests for information, service on committees and advisory groups, and appointed and elected positions.
Hundreds of staff members from local health departments throughout the United States serve on over thirty NACCHO subject matter expert advisory groups and committees. Volunteers guide NACCHO’s projects and priorities and work with NACCHO toward a vision of health equity and well-being for people in their communities. We are grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication volunteers bring to NACCHO.
