The Preparedness Planning, Outcomes, and Measures (PPOM) workgroup held its monthly call on July 28. The workgroup kicked off the 2015-2016 year by welcoming the following new members: Amanda Bogard, Branch Manager for Disaster Preparedness, Barren River District Health Department (KY); Chris Garrett, Local Health Emergency Coordinator, Virginia Department of Health; Susan Hensley, Emergency Planning and Training Coordinator, Yolo County Health Department (CA); Melissa Marquis, Public Health Emergency Response Specialist, West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District (CT); and Resham Patel, Preparedness Business Administrator, Public Health-Seattle & King County. The majority of this month’s call was spent reviewing and updating the Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) criteria. The workgroup is also working on finalizing their work plan for the 2015-2016 year. The next call is scheduled for August 25.
