The Preparedness Planning, Outcomes, and Measures (PPOM) workgroup held its monthly call on September 22. The meeting kicked off with an informational update from NACCHO in regards to an upcoming publication on the intersection of data and preparedness. Members of NACCHO’s preparedness and informatics teams will be looking at the use of any surveillance or electronic health data for preparedness planning and response. During this call, the workgroup also discussed next steps in the Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) toolkit review. The initial phase of the PPHR toolkit review will focus on assessing and filling the gap areas identified by PPHR staff. PPOM workgroup members were split into five groups of three members each with each member of the three person team assigned to a focus area. Workgroup members will report out on their progress during our next meeting, which is currently scheduled for October 27.
