The time is now! Lend your voice to shape the future of public health

May 07, 2020 | Kim Rodgers

The Public Health National Center for Innovations and the de Beaumont Foundation have partnered to review and revise the 10 Essential Public Health Services national framework to bring it in line with current and future public health practice. Public health is more visible than ever right now and it is crucial that we hear from those on the frontline and from public health experts as we define what public health looks like for the future.

The public comment period on the draft framework is open until 11:59pm ET on May 22, 2020. NACCHO is asking you to set aside 15 minutes to shape the future of public health by completing a short survey. We know that public health professionals are working incredibly hard under difficult circumstances, but we also know everyone in public health remains passionate about its mission. We seek to harness that passion for today and for the next generation of practitioners to be able to both respond to crises and serve communities in times of calm. We are sincerely grateful to the many people who have already completed the survey – and you can still help! If you’ve already completed it or if you’d like to help spread the word, a social toolkit with sample messages has been developed that you can use. Please share widely with your public health colleagues.

You can share your feedback on the draft framework in English or Spanish by visiting www.phnci.org/national-frameworks/10-ephs.
