The National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University (NCDP) is offering two web-based trainings focused on post-disaster economic recovery for the whole community:
- AWR-357-W: Principles of Community Economic Recovery
- PER-376-W: Preparedness Actions to Promote Economic Resilience and Recovery.
These trainings are free to the public and is funded through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
NCDP is also currently seeking partners for virtual training sites in FEMA regions 3, 4, and 8 for free virtual instructor-led trainings in the courses:
- MGT-462: Community Planning for Economic Recovery
- MGT-464: Address Gaps in Housing Disaster Recovery (also seeking nationwide partner sites)

While the trainings are intended to support communities preparing for and recovering from natural disasters, they are applicable during the COVID-19 pandemic with the instructor-led trainings including COVID-19 catered discussions and supplemental resources.
