On May 7, the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, hosted a one-day symposium on how public health has advanced since the 1918 flu pandemic. In the context of the centenary of the 1918 influenza pandemic, experts from academia and government discussed current pandemic influenza threats, as well as the future of pandemic preparedness and influenza prevention and control.
