Webinar: Communicating in a Nuclear Disaster: Observations from COVID-19

Jun 29, 2020 | Beth Hess

The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is pleased to invite local health department representatives and other stakeholders to a webinar to discuss the parallels seen between COVID-19 response efforts and radiological/nuclear disaster planning. Presenters from CDC and EPA will share their observations from recent months regarding COVID-19 communications strategies and social media monitoring findings.

Participants are asked to submit questions ahead of time during the webinar registration process. These questions will be addressed during a dedicated Q&A session. If time permits, participants will have the opportunity to share their response experiences and plans to apply takeaways to future radiation preparedness plans. The webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15 at 2:00 pm EST. Register today!

Presenters:

Lead, Crisis and Emergency Risk Communications
National Center for Environmental Health
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
