Webinar: Engaging Communities to Increase Confidence in COVID-19 Vaccines

Dec 21, 2020 | Beth Hess

Vaccine confidence is critical to maintaining vaccination coverage rates and protecting the health of individuals and communities. As COVID-19 vaccines are developed and distributed, addressing vaccine confidence will be a significant factor in ensuring optimal COVID-19 vaccine uptake. Community engagement is a critical component to improving confidence in vaccines and will require the involvement and cooperation of partners and stakeholders at all levels to engage diverse audiences and implement effective approaches.

This webinar on January 7 (3:00-4:15 pm ET), hosted by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), will highlight national COVID-19 vaccine efforts, as well as explore local and academic partnerships to engage communities and individuals and address confidence in COVID-19 vaccines.

Objectives:

  • Gain insight regarding the CDC COVID-19 vaccine confidence framework
  • Learn about current local public health and academia partnerships to engage diverse communities to better understand factors impacting vaccine confidence
  • Discuss what local health departments and academic institutions can do to promote and implement COVID-19 vaccine confidence efforts
