Webinar: Global, Regional, and Local Approaches to COVID-19 Vaccine Equity: Sharing lessons for World Immunization Week

Apr 21, 2021 | Beth Hess

In celebration of World Immunization Week, the NACCHO Immunization and Global Health teams are hosting a webinar on Tuesday, April 27, 3:00-4:00 pm ET, that will connect global, regional, and local experiences related to COVID-19 immunization equity. Through presentations from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Division of Global Health Protection, the Pan American Health Organization’s Regional Immunization Program, and the Virginia Department of Health’s Eastern Shore Health District, our goal is to provide a multi-level exchange of information and share lessons learned to better facilitate effective strategies that support equitable uptake of, access to, and demand for COVID-19 vaccines, among refugee, immigrant, and migrant populations.

Guest Speakers:

  • Dr. Kevin Clarke, Communicable Disease Lead – Humanitarian Health Team, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Dr. Margherita E. Ghiselli, Public Health Advisor, Pan-American Health Organization
  • Jon Richardson, Chief Operating Officer, Eastern Shore Health District, VA Health Department

This webinar is open to all members of local health departments as well as other community partners who are interested in this topic. Only registered participants will be able to join. Please register here.
