This webinar on Thursday, July 29, 3:00-4:15 pm ET, will focus on improving adolescent vaccine coverage rates to prepare for a healthy and safe return to in-person school and activities. Unity Consortium will present current adolescent immunization data reflecting the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and related insights on adolescent and parent preventive healthcare beliefs, intentions and behaviors. We will share Unity’s Don’t Wait. Vaccinate Campaign and Toolkit to support LHDs and their clinical partners to improve adolescent routine and COVID-19 immunization coverage.
Topics will include:
- Current Situation: Data on the COVID-19 pandemic-induced decreases in adolescent well visit and vaccine coverage rates, and insights from Unity’s multi-wave survey on COVID-19 Impact on Parent and Teen Beliefs on Adolescent Preventive Care, Routine Vaccination and COVID-19 Vaccination.
- Resources: Unity’s Don’t Wait. Vaccinate toolkit that includes resources for health care providers, adolescents and their families to address hesitancy and reinforce vaccine safety and efficacy, and more.
From 4:00 to 4:15 pm ET, Dr. Rachel Levine, Assistant Secretary for Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and Mary Wall, Senior Policy Advisor, White House COVID-19 Response Team, will join the call to discuss a new initiative to encourage partnerships across local education and health leaders to host school-based COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics as part of the Back-to-School season.
