NACCHO will be releasing a bi-weekly blog compiling a recent, updated collection of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) resources for our members working at the intersection of environmental health and COVID-19.
On September 16, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) along with the Department of Defense (DOD) released multiple documents outlining the Trump Administration’s strategy for delivering and administering a COVID-19 vaccine as quickly and efficiently as possible once one is approved.
Flu season is fast approaching, and with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to share information with the public about when and where vaccine is available. Utilize the recently released VaccineFinder and MedFinder, to help patients find flu vaccine and influenza antiviral drugs.
NACCHO strives to support and work with LHDs to improve food safety and prevent foodborne illness. One way this is accomplished is through NACCHO’s Food Safety Toolkit, a repository of information, data, and projects from across the country on food safety.
A new US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendation concludes with moderate certainty that behavioral counseling interventions reduce the likelihood of acquiring STIs in sexually active adolescents and in adults at increased risk.
CDC published four new HIV Surveillance Data Tables to equip HIV prevention partners with tools to help identify and address gaps in HIV prevention.
NACCHO and NCSD have announced the recipients of this year's scholarship award that funds health department DIS to attend the STD Engage conference.
Why would an environmental health division’s food safety regulatory program be interested in discounting license fees for food waste diversion activities? Food waste diversion can reduce food insecurity by redirecting food to combat hunger locally.
