The Strengthening Vaccine Confidence and Uptake among Adolescents and their Families through Community Partnerships project and The Improving Vaccine Access, Education, and Outreach Through Faith-Based Partnerships project are both now accepting applications.
Although the emergent time of the COVID-19 pandemic has passed, the work in BIPOC communities continues due to the low vaccination rates and continued health disparities. It will take time to clear the lens to have equity for all.
Building upon the results of Years 1 and 2 of the CDC's Improving Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) – Getting Further Faster (GFF) initiative, this funding opportunity will build evidence for how public health, healthcare and human services systems can implement, evaluate, and sustain programs to promote cross-sector linkages that address the social determinants of health (SDOH).
In November, the HIV, STI, Viral Hepatitis, and Harm Reduction Workgroup (HSHW) met in person, with representatives from CDC to share LHD experiences in the HIV, STI, and Harm Reduction spaces, hear of CDC priorities, and strategize together on advancing program successes and addressing program challenges.
