Franklin County Public Health, Kent County Health Department, and Minneapolis Health Department received funding and technical assistance from national organizations to advance their efforts to reduce lead exposure and its effects through a HiAP approach.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), representing the country’s nearly 3,000 local health departments, has awarded almost $360,000 in funding to six sites as part of the Harm Reduction and Academic Detailing project. Each site will receive up to $60,000.
NACCHO is seeking a consultant to design and implement a qualitative assessment of LHD use of infection data (including for COVID and influenza-like illness) and health equity information to respond to outbreaks.
With support from CDC, NACCHO is seeking a consultant, or consulting firm, to support the creation and implementation of an Essential (“Soft”) Skills Training curriculum of professional learning and capacity development services for LHDs doing work in healthcare settings including long-term care facilities to support IPC activities.
